  1. Hello

    I have encoded one of my videos with TMPGEnc and then i burned it to a cd as an s-vcd in nero.
    But when i try to play it in my DVD-player i get no sound...

    Does anybody know how to get the sound aswell??

    open the source file in gspot. post the audio and video info here so we can help. also, post the settings you used with tmpgenc.
    I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

  3. On the video it says:
    (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> InterVideo Video Decoder --> (R)
    And on the audio:
    (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> Nero Digital Audio Decoder --> (R)

    I hav used the same settings as in the guide how to encode with TMPGEnc.
    Except for the fact that i used PAL format since i live in europe...

    Try re-encoding your film, but instead of using the codecs which you have said you are using, use the codecs you have downloaded. You have just downloaded the codecs so use them

    In TMPGEnc, in the settings menu you can choose what codecs you would like to use, select the ones you have just installed on your sysem.

    And encode with them to see if it was a codec problem.

  9. Make sure to check what the audio bitrate you were using for your conversion. I just did a bunch of things and to save on video bitrate I lowered the audio to under 128 (80 or 96 I think) and guess what? No audio. I just checked and the VIDEO FILE COMPARISON chart I have says SVCD audio is 128-384 kbit/s. So as a rule I would say stay at or above 128......Terence
