Gone and messed up my dvd rom's region !!!

God knows how I have done this. I have locked my dvd rom to region 1 and for the life of me I cannot remember how to remedy this.

Had a quick search of the forums and can't seem to find anything.

I now I am a moron but would someone be kind enough to help !!!

Trying to change in windows media, it says that I have one change left. I click okay to change it to region 2 and it says : -

try dvd region killer, maybe it will work for you.

by the way, is it a region free dvd rom?
or is there a restriction in the HARDWARE?

if it is a region free dvd, and the only problem is that windows
says that you have only one more region left to change, then
dvd region killer should do the trick.

but if you have a firmware restriction, i dont think it will help.
you will have to flash the drive with region free firmeware if you can get it from somewhere.

Please try DVD Region-Free at http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm , it works for region-protected (RPC-2) DVD drive even if you can't change the region anymore.
