I have a small piece of video (in avi) and want to extend it to fit over some audio. So firstly i want to extend the short video by playing it at a slower speed and also i want to reverse the video aswell!
Can it be done digitally and if so which programs will allow you to do this?

I don't know about reverse playback, but I know of 3 programs that have video speed effects.
* Ulead VideoStudio 7 (Slow/Fast Motion)
* Cyberlink PowerDirector Pro (Slow/Fast Motion Video Effects)
* Roxio VideoWave 5 Power Edition (TimeWarp) -
The highest quality option, if you are doing this in an NLE, is to use Pinnacle Edition. It is absolutely ACE for slowmotion, and the subpixel rendering really helps it do an impressive job.
