Want to convert from AVI to Mpeg 2 so I can play it on my home dvd player

Ran Gspot and it said my video was XVid and the codec was not installed

Tried TMPGenc and it said not supported

Cannot look at file with any of my readers on my pc

restartr your comp, render the movie, to see if it plays and that you can forward from your media plyer, then extract wave, and encode, if that doens't work, try, ffdshow, codec...that may help in a last ditch effort...holla

  9. this has worked for me:
extract WAV using goldwave, reencode to MS MPEG-4 or DIVX using vdub, then frameserve into TMPENC
