nero 5.5 freezing prob

hi,
i am using nero 5.5. to burn my downloads to vcd,but have hit a problem and cant seem to find any solution for it.
i started by burning the second half of a downloaded film to a vcd.
then everytime i try to copy the first part the programme just freezes at around 15 % encoding.
anyone know what im doing wrong?
getting so fed up with it now.

whick operation system are u using ?
if it is ME .... it sucks
if it is 98 or 98SE try to free MEMORY
if it 95 ... well like 98
if it is 2000 or XP try to download the new NERO data file
or upgrade ... go to NERO.COM

it still it stuck try to RE ENCODE the MPEG1 with other software
is still error .... try to change the CD-R to other manufacure
is still error ... well .... try to use other software
line PSX2000 it have VCD1 options
if still error try to check disk for error ... defrag the disk
or try to remove the MENU options under nero
and create it without MENU options

still error ? well ... try to upgrade the FIRMWIRE of the DRIVE
whick drive fo you have ?????

Hi,

I have the same problem about 90% of the time when I am burning at 16 speed. I turned it down to 2 speed (i know it is slow) but it did not freeze at all.
