Finalization Issues - Lite-on 1101 HC1&Playback on Cyber

Hi all,
I have a couple of issues. I am able to set up a series of timer recordings on my Lite-on 1101 HC1 Recorder just fine. How do I delete a recording which I dont need (maybe I am missing something simple).

Also after recording on a DVD+R disc I do the finalization procedure which goes without a hitch. If I try to play the recorded DVD+R disc on my Cyberhome DVD player CH 300 all I see on the screen after the player reads the DVD is a blue screen with something like +VR..., -VR...
and a bunch of options at the very bottom. Appreciate someone shedding light on this.
