I used to do video stuff at home where I have win 98se then I heard that Win NT/2K was better because it does not have the 4 gb file size limit. So I began to render my Ulead video studio avis at work where I have win 2k loaded. However when the rendered file exceeds 4gb I get a disk full message. What is going on ? Do I need to set up something called NTSF? which I have seen referred to several times on this forum. What is it and how do I do it?

from what i gather, you have to format the drive to NTSF. i read a post on here on how to do it but i'm not sure. did you try the search? maybe under NTSF.........

"NTFS" is the term that describes the Windows "NT File System" formating of a hard drive running the NT (or Windows 2000) Operating System.
Your system running Win 2k should be formatted as such already.
Perhaps it's a setting in Ulead or the HD is in fact full?

You have an option to have a Fat32 or Ntfs system
in 2000. Reinstall your OS and make sure you select
Ntfs.

Double-click My Computer, and right-click on your capture drive, and goto Properties. Check the "File System:" and go from there. If it is in fact NTFS and your getting the error, it's probably ULead VideoStudio thats causing the problem - contact ULead about it.
Having Windows 2000 installed, does NOT mean it's NTFS. It could be FAT32 - it depends on what was chosen when Win2K was installed.
If you want to CONVERT from FAT32 to NTFS, open up a command prompt and type "convert /?" and see how its done - you don't need to reformat anything.
