I was about to download this youku's drama

But in this video, they are using webDRM instead of the usual cbcs
I tried to decrypt it with mp4decrypt and it didnt work

File this under 'checking before I go insane and give up'. Is it still possible to extract a m3u8 or mpd link from a YouTube livestream and play it externally, in an IPTV player for example?

I know these url's are dynamic and expire, but until a few months ago I had a working system that took a video id, used ytdl-core to get the corresponding m3u8 link and forwarded my player to that (temporary) url. Seems ytdl-core is unmaintained but still mostly works, expect for the fact that the url that gets returned won't actually play (403 error).

Does anyone know of another way that still works? Or should I really give up?

Hi, Everytime I downloading videos using N_m3u8DL-RE , it shows only 2ch audio streams. But the video have 5.1 audio channels in web. how to get the 6ch audio streams. It is any browser issues or tool issue?. I'm using brave browser.

I am using yt-dlp-gui because it seems easier than the console commands... but I can work with the console also.

Since 2 years i use https://cdrm-project.com, to put in the PSSH and the widevine-adress, to get the key.

Unfortunately since days https://cdrm-project.com is down. Don�t know if they come back.

Did anyone know another site, were i can generate the key by PSSH and widevine-adress ?

Or any pc-software they can do it, which is easily to handle ? I�m not an expert in these.
