I’ve been researching how to download VOD content from myTV SUPER (for example, the drama “The Shell Game”https://www.mytvsuper.com/tc/programme/theshellgame_103638/%E5%8D%83%E7%8E%8B%E4%B9%8B%E7%8E%8B/). I’ve now resolved the key decryption issue, and I can correctly decrypt 720p videos.

The only remaining question is: how can I obtain the 1080p MPD?

I’ve tried changing the platform parameter to android_tv, but it either returns 403 or still gives me 720p. Does anyone know how to get the TV-side 1080p MPD?

He occasionally downloads videos from YouTube for personal archival purposes. Recently, one of the YouTube channels began imposing age-restrictions on the videos. This was a hurdle, because this 'broke' his usual video downloader apps. So he turned to an online website, SSVID.NET and paid for a Premium membership so he could download higher resolutions. This was working great! Up until it started having little glitches a few weeks back. Now, when you click to download a video, it directs you to download an App from Github. But when I go to Github, the repository redirects you to their website, SSVID.APP, for more info. Github itself hosts the downloads, but that's no guarantee of safety.

Though it's a well-made site, this doesn't sit well with me. There are next to NO reviews or references to this site and software, except for the ones they provide themselves, and why was there no mention of this to their members? Why would they not continue using their current domain name? On Github, it looks like they're not even a year old, with no 'stars' or other references that I can find anywhere.

For those of you familiar with Python you'll likely have all the required packages installed already. I have specified a requirements.txt file in case you don't.

The main question some might have: why have I done this when there are existing options for some/many of these services ?

I want to use N_m3u8DL-RE as the downloader. It is mostly reliable and a known quantity to me. I've found Unshackle v5.0 to be a little problematic and unsegmented. I didn't feel like creating/supporting any more services for that platform when I don't really want to use it. My choice - if you like using Unshackle or other options out there, great go for it.

I'm a big fan of Nordic noir and French crime series in particular, so I started off creating some Euro services and it just kept going from there. Having been to Iceland in recent years, I've become a big fan of their stuff too. Eurovine prioritises English-speaking users, like me. Where a non-English service exposes default-language subtitles, the service script can translate those subtitles into an English sidecar .srt file.

I'd also like to add that whilst this project has been developed by me and my favorite bot, there may be little bits and pieces of code in some of the services that have originated from stuff done over the years by @stabbedbybrick, @A_n_g_e_l_a and @2nHxWW6GkN1l916N3ayz8HQoi. Without what I've learned from those guys and others in this forum, well I wouldn't be sitting here now.

Anyway, if you're familar with Ozivine and like how that one goes, then Eurovine might be worth a look for you too. It has all the flags and modes that have recently made it to Ozivine.

Any major issues please raise on Github so I can track them properly. Otherwise comments, compliments and brickbats will be dealt with here.

PS: for any Brits that get offended by me classing the UK as European.
