So, we found some Hi8 cassettes and the Canon with which they were recorder, the charger was missing so I ordered the charger and a new battery and the camera is working like a charm, except the fact that I tried to plug RCA cables to the front ports, but neither on the TV or on the PC with the USB converter any signal is showen, while on the viewfinder I can see the content.

I currently use a 1-inch camera, the Sony ZV-1, which performs well, However, I’m wondering if a camcorder could do even better in terms of true-to-life skin. I’m not familiar with camcorders, so I’d like your opinion

I recently got some new tapes in and I'm having issues getting anything to appear. The camera doesn't seem to be tracking the tapes correctly. The top half will be moving static, while the bottom is just black. What is interesting to me is all the tapes do the exact thing, with the same exact pattern. Is this a case of the tapes were recorded with a camera out of alignment? Is it a lp sp problem? Any thoughts or ideas would help tremendously.
