I'm trying to convert my Blu-ray/DVD collection to a streaming server (Jellyfin) which is largely going well.

I have a few foreign films that I would like to rip in their native languages with English subtitles (the dubbed versions are awful)... this is proving to be problematic.

I have the Swedish versions of Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy ("The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" series) and, using MakeMKV, I've ripped MKVs that default to English but have the Swedish audio tracks and have English subtitles (defaulting to none). I've tried many times to convert these to MP4 using Handbrake but no matter what I do, I can't seem to achieve Swedish audio with English subtitles. I'm trying once again, using what I consider the most logical choices but I doubt it'll work.

I've also tried VidCoder, but that doesn't seem to even offer Swedish audio.

I have a couple of other films I'd like to do the same with e.g. "Nikita" (French) and "Let The Right One In" (again, Swedish).

Any advice appreciated.

My first question is: while using the same build of BD-Rebuilder (0.62.16) on different PCs why do I get partially differing logs? For example, I get Source Video details (codec, rate/length, bitrate) on Windows 10, but not on Windows 11. Is this normal?

The second and most important question is: if I select two-pass encoding on Windows 10, I get two-pass encoding (see the log - it's clearly written there - Pass 1 of 2, Pass 2 of 2. But on Windows 11, no indication of passes, just re-encoding video... If you just look at the log, you may think it was a single pass process. But I decided to watch the process closely and noticed, that when the first pass was over, BD-rebuilder started to process the video again, without informing me about the second pass. It looked like the first and only pass consisted of two parts. Was it really the 2-pass processing? Does anybody know why this strange behavior takеs place?
