I created Smootter because I wanted an alternative to SVP with a different approach: a standalone Windows application that adds realtime frame interpolation to existing players like PotPlayer and MPC-HC, while providing a cleaner and more streamlined configuration experience.

The idea is to keep using the players people already know while adding a dedicated interpolation layer.

Smootter currently supports multiple interpolation modes:

- RIFE / TensorRT (RIFE 4.25 V2 real-time AI interpolation)
- NVIDIA Optical Flow (NvOFFRUC)
- Classic / Motion
- Blend
- Nearest / Duplicate
- Auto mode for selecting the best validated path

This allows choosing between maximum quality, lower GPU requirements and compatibility depending on the situation.

I知 sharing it here because VideoHelp has a long history with advanced playback setups, filters and video processing.

However i'm having trouble getting the codec to install. Tried installing the .inf file, rebooting, installing an exe. But to no avail, as it just wont show up in the vDub codecs.

MPC and none of the Windows players only show a garbled, lower half of the video.
I've tried taking off a few key frames in AviDemux and creating a new "copy" of the video. Same error. Audio plays fine on both.
I have a few of these from the same "collection" DVD that don't play correctly.
Any ideas?
