Is there any software that allows you to cut sections from the middle parts of video and will then append the remaining parts and save the video without having to re-encode?

Hi folks, I'm new to this forum, but I have a question about video editing. I use pinnacle studio but my question applies to any video editing that is done. I have many different camera sources for video and I generally import these videos into pinnacle studio to do some editing. Some of the cameras only offer mp4, my sony cam offers an mpg format, which is probably the best for editing purposes (I think) , and I think my iphone will give me H264 or H265. Obviously for the best editing I want to begin with a video format that is uncompressed or minimally compressed (lossless). I also have a pretty good video converter that will convert many of these videos to M2Ts and even mpg formats

My question is, specially for the mp4 formats, am I better off converting these to mpg or m2ts format and then editing in pinnacle? Or should I just take the mp4 clip and import it and work with that? I don't know if doing an extra conversion is worth it because I am guessing one would lose something in every conversion of the video. Please advise when you can. Thanks

Hi everyone, i was going thru some Family videos today and i found a 720/50p AVC file that has a very bad case of the jitters, i know it was not in the original 1080/50p version when it was recorded, and i certainly don't recall it getting this issue when i recoded it down to 720/50p, but i could be wrong as it was recorded 8 years ago.

I have cut a segment from the file in VRD and i have the cut portion (60mb) in my Icedrive cloud storage and ask if someone here would be kind enough to download it (when i give you the link) and offer some advice on what the issue might be.

Cheers
