Subtitle Edit tools page. In other words I never know when/ how to set fps and then save a new sub copy. What I know is that a sub I saved at 24 fps thinking it was saved in SE did not give any noticeable change. Does the program have to restarted in some way?

So to review, I have a downloaded sub of unknown fps
I have a video of a known fps shown in MediaInfo

What are the steps to get the two together?

Currently I open the MP4 file in SubTitleEdit 4.15 on Windows, and click on "file" -> "Export" -> "Plain Text" with Option "Mege Lines". As a result I have one TEsstfile without Timestamps and the complete subtitles.

I'm looking for a good speech to text software tool. Subtitle file like .SRT file. But not online. I have the software "any video converter" and it comes with the "speech to text tool". But it has problems: sometimes the subtitles come out good, 1 or 2 lines per subtitle. But sometimes it goes to extremes like making 4 5 and even 6 lines per subtitle, or filling the entire frame with lines, or even making one single word per subtitle. I contacted the support and they told that the problem might be the window of the software and to put it in windowed frame instead of full frame. I did that but the result was the same. That was a BS solution. Then they told that they would fix the problem. I suspect they will not. I guess they didn't care.

Does anyone knows about a good speech to text tool capable of making .SRT files that I can use locally on my PC? Not online.
