I was checking out this website on how to burn DVD's:

http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/

I was wandering does it matter if you burn your DVD as a widescreen TV or regualer TV. The reason why im asking this is because i might get a widescreen TV later on in the future. So if i burn my dvd's for reg. TV it wont work once i buy a widescreen, and I probabley wont be getting a widescreen tv for a very looooooong time.

It depends if you want the full widescreen picture or not - if you burn wide screen and display on a 4:3 TV then you will have two black borders at the top and bottom. If you burn 4:3 then this will work fine on a widescreen TV and 4:3 but you will lose the 'widescreen' extra screen information. Most widescreen TV's allow you to 'stretch' the 4:3 format to make it look reasonable anyway (usually automatically).

DVD's are 99% widescreen at source - my advise would be to stick to this and put up with the black borders until you get your new tv ! ...
