Does anyone have any experience with dup-dvd, and is it worth the investment?

I heard a lot of good thing about this software, it sounds too good to be true. I do not want to waste some money on stupid software.

Thanks,

I downloaded dup-dvd in the trial version it only did 30mins of a full dvd. Then i payed for a full version of dup-dvd.And it still did 30mins of a full dvd.

Dup-dvd is a waste of time.
Use the software on the website it will work a lot better then dup-dvd.And use the step by step on how to make a vcd+svcd.

dont pay for that piece of crap. ure better off reading a guide from here and ripping it the hard way. Dup-dvd can rip a dvd with just one click but it doesnt work when u pay the whole thing.

Thanks Guys,

I was really into this stuff for awhile, but I was missing in action for a about 6 months, so I have to do some catch up reading.

I know the basic method to rip DVD to VCD/SVCD, but I curious as to if the software is any better than 6 months ago?

The way I normally rip DVD is as follows:

1) dvd2svcd (version 2.10, I think???)
2) tmpgen (version 12a)
3) Use some other tools to merge the audio and video together (can't remember now.
4) Use Nero to burn the merge mpeg.
5) Test it on Apex600a DVD player

Please fill me in any other steps of software update I should know.

Thankyou all,
NEE

DVD2SVCD can do it all for you by itself. Download the DVS2SVCD bundle and you should be good to go
