Well, here's mine, from a couple of years back. It was recorded with a camcorder, totally unplanned, took a lot of editing afterwards. I only had some cheapass software, I think Windows Movie Maker was my best tool, pretty much, so expect nothing fantastic. I'm just posting it because it thought some Sopranos fans might get a kick out of it.

Basically, I was going to drive to see my grandparents in the country, and thought, what the hey, I'll tape myself driving and edit and add titles and stuff to spoof the Sopranos opening sequence. I used my own name (Salakka) instead of Sopranos, and used 'twisted' names of some of my friends. This was shot in Finland, hence the non-American scenery. I hope at least someone out there enjoys it. Again, try to ignore the crappy quality, I'm no pro - wasn't then, am not one now.

It's about 7 mb and in WMV format. You can dl it from http://www.jella.net/bin/salakkas.html. Thanks! (For some reason when I dl it, it tries to force me to save it as an AVI. WMP should play it just fine either way.)

Great news guys. I'll be making my first real movie this summer. We will have a budget of about $8000 and will be purchasing 2 HD cameras to shoot it. I'll be sure to post it here when it's completed.

It dl as an avi, but MPlayerX plays it just fine. It's really good man, I thought it was very well done.

Just an update for my summer movie. The band Whitetown is interested in possibly doing the score for the movie. Exciting stuff.

It'll be a fast paced comedy movie. I don't want to give the plot out now, because I've found if I tell everyone about it I usually won't finish it.

I'm making a movie for a Wedding Reception...the bride and groom's life to date. I'm using images and video clips. Has anyone seen examples of this type of movie...I'm looking for ideas...

Thanks...
As fonoop said use interviews, and not the simple one of 'she so nice' but strange expressions, and search for pictures which put the things which are told in a funny context.
If you use pictures, try to avoid static pictures, make them not as if your watching a picturebook, but put titles on it, balloons with funny text.
And on the end put a nice climax in the movie, search for example a picture witch monkeys in a just married car.
To conclude I think it must be a movie witch a fun factor, after all it's a day full of joy (at least I hope)

Is there a way to do "bubble text" or "Balloon Text" in Premiere? I'm rather new to it, since it's more of an expensive hobby than anything. I just can't figure it out. I'm working on a video of me and my pals golfing, and I wanted to either add Bubble Text or graphics like they have on NBC during golf tournaments (filled more with comedic phrases than true scores).

I was just wondernig.

Thanks,

abudguy

Hey guys: I have found that adobe premiere is so difficult to understand and use. Is there a place teaching "how to..."

Adobe Premiere isn't the easiest application to learn, but once you get over the basics, it is pretty good. I just used the help file that came with 6.5.

For what its worth I don't know of anyone who has used adobe premiere for the first time and thought "wow that was simple". In fact most have the same reaction as you.

Most functions are in the strangest of places and to this day I'm still learning new stuff. I've been using premiere for around 4 years now.

Wow, the time of 4 years is absolutely not short. My expectation was that I hoped that there is a "how to..." page like Newbie in Dvdhelp.com teaching using a program in a specific topic step by step.

Stick with it, as it wont take 4 year for you to learn to edit your first movie biggrin.gif You'll probably do you first movie within a week.

Have a look for tutorials on Google ie

and

Well, here's my edited movie. It's a music video I made with Vegas Video 4, which I find to be the easiest and the best program to work with. I used old footage from a hard-to-find Japanese Animated movie called "Bagi" and told the story through Avril's song. I found the movie's story to be very cute. The quality might not be the best on part 2 and 3, but it's not incredibley bad. If you like it, I could post a link to the 2nd musicvideo I made.Bagi: Cold Night

The best site I've seen for Premier tutorials is www.wrigleyvideo.com. It's probably not the best for figuring out the real basics, but the tutorial projects help you understand the features and capabilities a whole lot better than you could otherwise teach yourself.

Just wondering, any idea how many downloads/how much bandwith used when you post a movie link on here?
