Well thanks everyone for the advice/help removing the Subtitles using Vitural Dub. However, the second part of the movie lost its audio. Any ideas?

I started with two MPG-1 files, merged them with TMPGE, Used logoaway under VD to get rid of subtitles, saved as a DIVX, then converted it back to MPG-1 using TMPGE. Is there an easier way? Sounds like I might be doing twice as much work as I need. Eitherway the second part of the movie is silent. I am assuming it is the entire second MPG but not sure.

Not sure what you're trying to do, but you can skip a few steps. First, question where did you get the MPEG 1 files from? I'm going to guess that you d/loaded some DivX files, that had subtitles in them and you wanted to get rid of the subs and make a x(S)VCD?

1) Load source file in Vdub, load filters as necessary (logo away).

2) Frameserve the video to TMPGenc

3) Load TMPGenc and encode MPG1 file. Repeat with other file. Then join MPEG files (if necessary).

To frameserve you'll need to install the VDub handler, run the auxsetup.exe program in the Vdub dir to install it. Also make sure you've got the VAPFI codec for TMPGenc installed (from http://www.tmpgenc.com).
Converting from DivX -> MPEG1 -> DivX -> MPEG1 has got to take forever, and do some serious damage to your video quaility smile.gif

I will give all that a go. Thank you very much.

I am assuming you can save as MPG using VD. That will save a lot of steps.
