I have a TV card with TV in/out - but i'm still unsure of what to do...

vcdhelp.com doesn't have a section on this, so deos anyone know a site that does ?

I've not done this, but I would imagine that you would run a RCA cable from the TV Out on the video card to the VCR "In", and the same with a cable from the computer sound card to the VCR. You would then use the Video card's software to set the display so the signal is sent to the TV. With the VCR "out" also hooked up to the TV, and the VCR output set to "VCR", and you play the movie on your computer, you would then see the movie on the TV. When you're satisfied that it's playing, you would then just hit the VCR record button.
