1st of all, I'm new to DVD 2 VCD/DivX conversions.

I've tried several progies, and I have yet to find one that will SUCCESSFULLY extract without crashing. The DOS based ripping seems to generate errors like no tommorow.

Is there a good GUI/Windows progie to do it?

Do u want ac3 or normal stereo?

Stereo:
First of all, use smartripper to copy the dvd on your harddrive and then U can rip the sound of the vob-files with dvd2avi. Even a sample-rate conversion is possible on-the-fly.
