Have one also.

The best from my testing are the Memorex CDRW. Numbers to follow below. CompUSA stock them along with some of the other places. The 5 pack or even better the 25 packs are good on price.

CompUSA made a fatal mistake in offering a few months back 50% off on paper and CDR-CDRW. Yep I clean them out! Wish the Sony 3000 would take CDRW. Oh well.

Here are the Bar code numbers:
0 34707 03156 2 CD-RW Platinum 650mb 74min single.
0 34707 03138 8 CD-RW Platinum 650mb 74min 25 pack.
0 34707 03125 8 CD-RW Platinum 650mb 74min 5 pack
NOTE This cover both the fullsize/thin Jewel case version.

I have tried the 700mb but the playback is jumpy. Also I have better luck using Nero 5.x to burn than EZCD Creator.

For cases I buy either the white cases or the 3m black cases in 25, 50 or 100 packs.

You may want to grab a single and get it a try.

Oh one last item. I have found the less you can see the tracks on the bottom the beter it play some times. Not proven but just a feeling.

Good Luck
Nightwing.

Does it play back ok on your computer? What is the quality of the playback on you computer. Is it ok or a bit strange?

From your post should I assume that you could only burn with NTI? If so you may need to check the file. It may not be compliant with VCD std. Some NTI versions would take ones that are a bit out of spect.

I think Tmpeg can also fix files that are not quite there.

For more info check the "DVD Players" button along left edge of this web site for your player. And a search of past messages would not hurt also.

Have tried the 700 minutes version but goes a bit nuts at times.

Mr. Write CD-RW is better than Memorex. You can order online from http://www.computer123.com at $3.50/10 pcs. Browse:Media, Brand: Friendly CD Tek.

It plays perfectly in my computer.

I have burned with at least 5 different programs and none of them work.

When i burn the cd it takes a long time to load and then it reads it as a vcd, however when i press play the movie never starts. i even left it for 3 hours and it never started.

P.S. wut speed cdrw are you using? i use 1x-4x but i heard 4x-10x work. do you think this matters?

Looks like Memorex has change the fomular on there disk. Rats!

Just pop one from the last 25 pack I bought and it has problems playing. It also need the "Disk at Once" or wont burn any VCD at all! I tried an older pack and burned ok. Tried on both a Plextor and Mitsume.

Well when I finsh the backlog of CDRW will dump the 600. Want one that can playback SVCD besides VCD.

Just check the true mfg. The old ones are mfg from Plasmon Data and the one with problems are Unitech Japan.

There is a program called CDRIdentifier. I think its a German program.

May want to do a search for it.

Hi again!

if you want a copy go to http://www.Google.com and type in "CDRIdentifier" at the promp. Its the first or 2nd entry there.

It is a German based program. Super handy for figuring "what is going on here?" type of problems. Works with SCSI and IDE CDR/RW drives. Tell's max minutes and dye type also. Helps to sort disk also.

Good Luck!

Another new mfg? Sheech! Sorry basicaly neither.

The one that work for me were the Plasmon. Have no idea on the one you listed. The Plasmon had a thinner blue ring than the last batch that wont work.

Wish the morons when the DVD spects were written would have force playback of CDR/CDRW at least!
