Opinions,is MM7.1 drivers,worthless or great?

I say worthless so far.I have the TV Wonder and even though
it looks good on the surface sort of(why do they have horizontal res up to 720 depending on codec but only 240(joke)on vertical)?What gets me is that I used to be able
to do any res with anything it seemed with Virtual Dub but
now IT is limited with what the drivers say is ok.I say it's
crap and I'm looking at puting the old back in.I could do
real time capture in divx and now I get frame loss like crazy.Also capture in Windows Media 8 doesn't work(MM 7.1).It acts like it wants to but won't save.
