Well I have analogue captures down pat...now I am on to DV...
I have a generic firewire card and DV cable connected to a JVC DVL300 DV camera.
Have tryed using Premier, AVI_IO, Main Actor with no success.
I can control the video camera with Main Actor and Premier (ie shuttle,stop...play)so i think the firewire card is ok but...I do not get any preview window and when i capture I get nothing....no audio no video....grrrr!!!
At least with mainactor i get garbage video on the preview screen......anyone got any ideas?...(but an unreadable AVI file is produced).
Premier says its capturing frames...but there nothing will open the file ones it is finished.
system is a athlon 1.2gig win98se, 128 ram........bla bla...
I thought DV capture would be easy!!!compared to analogue.....
