Hi !

I have a Philips DVD 751 player!
Does anyone know where to find a list
with p-codes and some description how
to use it?

I recently have firmware 7.03 and p-code 054 (P54)
and I want to view SVCDs

Thanks!!!

If you checkout the DVD PLayer compatibility list you will find useful links for "hacks" and comments made by other users.

Here the quicklink

I also have the Philips DVD751...with the same firmware version but p-code 33.
I was wonderiing if anyone can tell me what do I gain by upgrading the firmware to 7.12 or 7.22? and what pcode P33 means?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi lapin !

It seems to me as if you are the most competent
person regarding p-codes wink.gif

Please tell me how to enter the various p-codes
(do I need a special remote control) and if
there is any disadvantage comparing to p 054!

THANKS A LOT!!!

There is two ways to change the p-code :
the best one : with a rc6 remotecontrol (oneforall, pronto or a palm. you have to edit a rc6 code (4235). Then you have to play : RC6 055 000 000 000 play (with the original remote)
the other way, with the original remote : play 159 055 000 000 000 play (attention with this way you can just enter 25 times a new p-code, that's why the first method is better).

The 055 p-code gives you all functions but it's r2 and pal (if your player is regionfree, you'll loose this ability).

Hi lapin!!!

Thanks again for your reply!!!
(I was on holiday this weekend,
that's why it took me so long
to reply!)

I entered the p-code with my
original remote for I don't
have any idea what a rc6 code is.
Entering the p-code was no problem
- thanks to you wink.gif

What's the diffrence between the
054 and the 055 p-code?

You mentioned that I can only enter
this code 25 times. Do I have to
enter it somewhen again or is it
now "stored" in my player like the
new firmware I loaded?

You're welcome Medical,

You don't have to enter the p-code each time you change disk, it's stored in your player (whatever firmware do you have).

The only difference between 054 and 055 seems to be the beeper and the 6 audio chanel...

Ciao
