i held the videocamcrder vertically to take movie clips. The output clip is of course lying on upright. But how can I rotate it (i want to create special effect)? Can you give me a suggestion on how to do it?

I think there is a filter which you can use in VirtualDub for this sort of thing. I'm not 100% certain, so try to find out more via their website
