i downloaded the demo nero images for xvcd and svcd in ntsc format, but none of them worked! my apex660 thought it was an mp3 disc and wouldn't play anything!

am i missing some option in the burn format? such as...finalizing the cd or something?

thanks. steve

Did you select "burn image" in Nero? Usually that should suffice.

indeed i did!

the rw material i used for my testing is fully readable with the 660 i believe. it is the sti - digital media 4x rw disc. audio cds and mp3 cds play on them.

thanks!

I checked the DVD Player compatibility list, where it said that CD-RW's should be gold colour layered. Another useful fact is that just because your Audio CD's and mp3's work on certain media doesn't guarantee VCD's and SVCD's working on them.
