everytime i burn this vcd with nero it says its only 2.5 mb in windows but half the cd is burnt and it wont work in my dvd player i dont know why? I h ave the apex model that plays them but it doesnt read them, then when i ope the cd in win2k it says no cd, and in winxp it says the cd is holding 2.5 mb of space and i can see the cd layout but no multimedia? The mpg i am trying to burn plays fine inwindows and even when i drag it in nero and hit "play" it works? Im using memorex cds with nero 5.0.4.8 any help is really appreciated.

This could have many causes.
1.) Does your DVD PLayer VCD's? - Check in the DVD Player compatibility list on this website.
2.) Are you using the correct colour layered CD-R(W)'s with your Player - again check the compatibility guide.
3.) Record (burn) your CD-R's at a lower (lowest) speed and try again.

yes, its the apex AD-500W that plays all color cdrs

Well, as I said before. You might try buring at a lower speed or (as I know nothing about Nero 5.0) upgrade to a higher version. Version 5.5.2.3 works best for me personally.

Where can I get that? Download.com only had 5.0.4.8

unfortunately they only have the 5.5.2.4 version available now for download which (I find) not so good as 5.5.2.3.
If you would like this version (5.5.2.3.) send me an email and I'll try and pass it on to you.
