i know it sounds dumb, but i would like to be able to practice this whole dvd-conversion process prior to getting my dvd-rom drive.

i have downloaded the miniDVD sample, so....can i use these software packages to rip this miniDVD so i can make an SVCD and VCD out of it?

i will take this miniDVD image home on a cd-rw and start at it! woo hah!

i got this strange feeling that there will be a really really good deal on dvd-rom ide drives this weekend in the retail stores...like....20 chalupas after a rebate or something...

just this strange feeling i got.
