Region error on ripped dvd.

Anybody have this problem with certain movies. I had it with "Cast Away" It is a region 1 DVD. I ripped it to the hard drive. I started the decoding process with DVD2MPG Squeezer and the region screen popped up. But When I encode straight from the DVD it works. Do I have to edit the .ifo file?

I think you have to click the "region free patch" in "settings" with smartripper when ripping to your hard drive - that's if you use Smartripper. If you use other ripping software check that it has a similar feature.
