Hey... wink.gif

Could you give me good examples of applications for Linux like WinVDR.

I don't want to build a PVR... just a simple and small application where I can select things like video codec and audio codec, select the TV Channel, press a "Rec" button and if possible with scheduling capabilites.

By the way, my card is a BT8x8 based.

Thanx in advance! See ya!

Bjs... thanx for the info... specially the list.

Well.. in the past I used Zapping but it is very buggy... and considering the fact Zapping is not updated anymore...
http://zapping.sourceforge.net/

I think I found a solution for me... GV4L using transcode....
http://gv4l.sourceforge.net/

FFTV is very buggy too
http://fftv.sourceforge.net/

One of the reasons I'd like to know a good application like WinVDR is because WinVDR has a cubic filter that gives you good quality for the recorded videos! smile.gif

The mencoder solution is great but I really like to watch while I'm recording something....

So I ask.. What do you recommend good front-ends for mencoder? And if possible watch the video while I'm recording.

Sorry about my english.. I'm not a native english speaker. wink.gif
