any solutions? I really dont wanna play in SD on my hdtv =( i dont care about the output quality on the dazzle but I dont wanna have to suffer with playing in sd on the tv

Does you HDTV have component in? If so, use the basic 360 a/v cable to connect the component (red/green/blue) to your HDTV for your HD playing and then plug the composite (yellow) cable to the dazzle for SD recording. For audio, you'll need to use a spliter or Y cable to split the red/white audio cables to the TV and to the dazzle. If you don't care about sound for your captures, then just use the audio cable for the TV. (Yes, both the component and composite

My son actually has his setup the other way. Composite to SD TV and component to a HavaPlatinum. Works great.

I have the new xbox... it did not come with component cables... I use HDMI only to connect to my tv... But like i said my TV has a A/V out wondering if i can INPUT my 360 to the tv with HDMI.. and output to the capture card with the A/V out to the capture card. read somewhere its possible but don't wanna go out and spend a lot of money on something that may not work correctly for what I need

This is what I'm asking if it will work

I doubt it. Take a look at the output from that "A/V out". Usually it only follows the SD tuner. There's almost never an HD downconversion in a HDTV.

I've used this output in the past to capture an SD channel while watching a different HD source.

Fazeshot,

I too will doubt it will work. If your TV does have component in, then just pick up the original a/v 360 cable that has the component (for HD) and composit (for SD capture) and setup like I described. I doubt you'll see much, if any, difference between the HDMI and component cables. This tends to be TV/monitor specific though...

I bet you can pick up an a/v calbe used from Gamestop or something like that for under US$20.
