Not bad

I get signed up for updates from blackfriday.info
office max also has a good deal on a netbook

Quote:
Some of the better deals in the OfficeMax ad include an Acer Aspire One Netbook w/1GB memory, 160GB hard drive, and Windows XP for $149.99

I'd give a link to the ad but officemax made them take it down.

The repo buyer now controls the "circuit city" name. Who knows who they are? Warranty would be suspect.

For those not watching TV ads, Walmart is selling a Panasonic 46" 1920x1080p (TC-P46U1) plasma for only $799 this Saturday first come first served. Same deal is on now at Tigerdirect plus shipping up to $99. Taxes vary.

Unlike previous 1080p plasmas, this one is fairly green with 332 Watt power consumption.

Are they publicly traded?

asked and answered SYX.

Dell offered the Mini10 for $199 last spring I think. One of my coworkers bought one and turned it into a Hackintosh. If they are running the special again I would assume it's going to be direct from Dell.

So are there going to be any deals on bluray burners this season?

I think that would be the only hardware I'd be looking for.

Are these the tiny notebooks ? I want to get one. But the keyboard is my main concern. Can you hook a standard keyboard to it ?

And, how exactly do these b-friday work, do you pack a sleeping bag or wait till a certain time and drive fast ? are they limited to like a couple and they raffle them away at the price ? or what ?

I'd hate to through all this to find that I can't get one because they only had 2 per store, yada yada.

You get in line and take your chances. Don't get trampled.

Hint. Many stores have limited on-line supply but they don't all open the site at the same time.

Staples opens the web site with the east coast stores. So I tried first at 3AM pacific time online. Failing that on some items I got in line at the store 5:30am pacific time. They let us in early because it was raining. I got most of what I wanted.

My best score last year was an HP Mediasmart home server on the Fry's Outpost web site. They ran out in the first 10 minutes.

Varies from store to store. Some have a limit of only a few per store. I worked at wal-mart about 5 years ago and our store had a laptop being offered on special for $250. We only had 3 available at our store. There was a huge fight for them when we made them available at 5 am.

The best store policy I witnessed (can't remember which store) had an employee interview people in line before opening. They issued a ticket for high price limited quantity items thus avoiding the scramble.

You can plug a USB keyboard (or PS/2 keyboard w/USB adapter) into one of its USB ports.
