Im having great difficulty trying to convert a Pal (25fps) .Avi to an NTSC DVD in Avidemux version 2.4.3. I've looked at a guide from Lord Mulder but cant seem to get it. Will someone please explain the steps to accomplish this task. In particular the filters, changing the fps, resizing, and changing the resolution. The auto setting doesnt seem to do it alone for Pal avi to NTSC dvd conversion. Here is a screenshot of my video properties:

AVStoDVD, FAVC etc all use the pulldown method for PAL to NTSC conversion. This is far preferable, and produces a better image quality, than encoding PAL to NTSC using AVI Demux.

The conversions went very smooth, with very good results. AVStoDVD looks like avi2dvd. I used to use it also but it was a bit buggy at the time. I like the scripts options also. I tried the Sharpen filter and it caused light flicker at the max setting of 1.0 but looked much better at 0.2. Avidemux did do very nice NTSC .Avi to NTSC DVD conversions but AVStoDVD did what I wanted done with great results and its a free app that I easily understood. I will be adding it to my progs archive. Thanks much Guns for your help.

The easiest thing to do would be to wait until "The Surrogates" comes out on DVD.
