Hi,
I use NeroVision to convert movies to dvd. Excellent program. But now Nero wants me to upgrade the program, just to use NeroVision (long story),.

Is there a program, that I can use similar to Nero just to convert to DVD ? What I like about Nero is, the program converts video formats to dvd, then burn. Very simple to use. Not alot of adjustment settings.

Any free or affordable programs, that will convert to dvd. That work.

Thanks for any assistance.

Sony Movie Studio & ConvertXtoDVD are both good ones. For simplicity Windows Movie Maker isn't bad as it converts quite a few formats to DVD and it comes free with windows.

WMM (XP or Vista)* only converts to WMV or DV-AVI. If you output DV-AVI you can finish in Nero or any other DVD authoring program that imports DV format. Most will. WMV output is not recommended if the goal is DVD.

* Vista Home Premium or Ultimate include a DVD making program called "DVD Maker". Can't really call it a DVD authoring program since it uses canned menus.
