You have to use either VirtualDubMod or use the MPEG2 32bit plugin for 1.9x

http://home.comcast.net/~fcchandler/Plugins/MPEG2/MPEG2.zip

Create a folder called plugins32 under virtualdub, then copy the unzipped plugin into it.

thanks you for that

and btw, which one would be better to encode? vdmod or vd? or there is not difference at all
the only thing i noticed that virtualdub is more accurate in the seconds when im cutting sections from movies and save's them
vdmod in this sometimes screwing the video and the lip-sync is ruin
thanks

What codec using for encoding? Xvid, DivX, ...?
What is used encoding type? Single pass or twopass?

Twopass encoding type is a two-stage:
- 1st pass - analysis video and create stats file
- 2nd pass - encoding using data from a stats file

It looks like you used immediately Twopass 2nd pass - without used previously Twopass 1st pass.

First set Twopass 1st pass and use Run video analysis pass option in VirtualDub.

After - set Twopass 2nd pass.
