Is it possible to directly join 3 clips with Virtual DubMod? If so, can you give me the click by click recipe?
I can join 2 clips with Virtual DubMod.
Recipe:
1) file> open> part 2
2) file>append segment>part 1
3) file> open> part 1
4) file> append segment> part 2
5) file>save as>File name:type merge (choose "Direct Stream Copy" under Video Mode)

If your video files are in sequence and named the same, VDM will automatically append them when you open the first file in the folder.
Video1.avi
Video2.avi
Video3.avi
These will become a single video, then you just create a new filename and save in Direct Stream Copy. But the files have to be exactly the same. You can change the auto append setting in the open dialog page. Or you could open the first file if they are named different, then append the second, then append the third.

I'll try it:

Open the first videoclip, File->Open video file
Select File->Append Video Segment to open and add other videoclips. Repeat this step until you have add all you videoclips.
Select under Audio->Direct Stream Copy.
Select also under Video->Direct Stream Copy.
Last hit File->Save AVI and save the new joined movieclip. |
I once tried to do this and they joined in the wrong order, but maybe I did something wrong.

Computers count differently. If you labeled them:
video1.avi
video5.avi
video10.avi
They would come out as:
video1.avi
video10.avi
video5.avi
Use 01, 02, 03 or a, b, c, d.

Not quite.
You have to open the first file, then append the second file. The third will automatically append (unless you disable the option in the Append Avi Segment dialog).

Thanks, jagabo, my mistake.
