I am trying to transcode some of my movies to h246 avi's using fairuse wizard & it does take a long time, but when it gets to the part where VirtualDub is used, I get an error message & it crashes, left with 2 files one is sound & other is video. Any clue why I am getting this error & any suggestions as to what program I could use to mux the sound & video together without losing the quality?
this is what the error log gave me:
AppName: virtualdubmod.exe AppVer: 1.5.4.0 ModName: ffdshow.ax
ModVer: 1.0.3.1023 Offset: 0015e0c7

Clean out, re-download, re-install.
Reseat all yo memory chips.
RUn your PC at stock voltages/stock speeds.
half completed files are no good to you, just delete them.
x264 IS good but on a P4 its not worth (imo), the time to encode over xvid insane quality / dvix purest quality

The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

How do you set "insane quality" in Fairuse Wizard?
There is a speed/quality slider i moved to quality, but there is still visible pixleation around letters in the final avi
