Hi
Im basicly looking for a piece of software for use in a live show that would be able to mainly support 2 camera inputs and also play a video. It would need to be able to simply fade between these different sources and output to a projector. I did come accros a piece of software called "Whizzualizer" and this did everything i wanted except there was no audio when playing the video.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated,

I think you misunderstood me, the cameras are live imputs, this is for a live show

Don't know about software. - you might have to go the hardware route. I have a Panasonic WJ-AVE5 A/V mixer and it's great. I purchased it new back in the day for over $1000(!) - you can get them on eBay for less than $200. It has 2 A/V inputs: composite and S-video and multiple outputs and an array of special effects that would be cool for a live show. Good luck.

Low-cost hardware solution: one of the Edirol video mixers. Model selection depends on source type (analog or digital; SD and/or HD).

I don't know about low-cost - they start at around $1100 (V-4) and go up to around $10K. The V-4 is a nice little unit - Standard Definition only - 2 S-video inputs or 4 composite inputs.

I don't recall where but I remember reading about software that could blend two DV sources on the fly.

Maybe the one from JohnnyMalaria: http://forum.videohelp.com/topic356055.html But I believe that's just for DV sources. If so, the used video mixer suggestions would be one way to go for a economy setup. smile.gif

Just for the info: one camera and one videosource, can be done with virtualdj.
