Hey all!

I am trying to watch some AVIs from my laptop on my TV, but I am unsure about which types of cable(s) to buy. My laptop has a VGA port and an HDMI port but no S-Video. But, since it is fairly old, my TV only has S-Video and the standard AV jacks (yellow, white and red). What should I be looking for cable wise in order to play video from my laptop to the TV?

Thanks in advance everyone! biggrin.gif

You should be looking for a new TV. Otherwise you are looking for something like this : http://www.svideo.com/hdmi2svideo.html or this : http://aitech.stores.yahoo.net/maxcinkit.html

However the quality will be pretty crappy, and you will probably end up watching it on your laptop because the picture will be better there.

Save your money and put it toward buying a new TV instead.
