I tried to play a movie with SRT file. I have followed every instructions, but I still couldn't make it work.
Somehow, the subtitle only shows the timeframe instead of the text.
I tried everything, but nothing works. Where is my mistake ?
Help me please

A sample of VLC screen

Open the .srt file in a text viewer (or text editor like Notepad (Windows - as you didn't fill in your computer details, I don't know which OS you're using)), and see what text is actually present in the file, whether it has the actual subtitle lines, etc.

Does the .srt file have the same name as the video?

It has exactly the same name, except the xtention.

The content of the SRT file seems to be fine. Both files in the same directory.
I have even manually load the SRT file, but it is just the same.

Here is ex :

1
00:00:07,023 -> 00:00:10,019
H Beyond Belief Media presents

2
00:00:13,700 -> 00:00:17,205
a documentary of Brian Flemming

3
00:00:35,051 -> 00:00:39,051
Earth wandering around the Sun.

4
00:00:44,006 -> 00:00:47,006
But it was not always so.

5
00:00:48,001 -> 00:00:52,001
The Sun once roam around
from Earth.

But the text doesn't show up. Only the timeframe (it looks like it)
