Can anyone tell me if this deck has position memory? If you stop a movie half way through, can you mark it, then shut off the machine and start it again the next day and it will play from that point on?
I consider this a major feature although it is never displayed on any DVD box or on a feature list. If any manufacturers are on this board...listen up! You could double your sales on overnight on any model if you list this on the box because all the advertising clowns from your competitors do not.

It should be listed in the user manual. Toshiba doesn't offer manuals on the webiste, so I can't confirm. Or you could simply test it. You typically don't have to "mark it". On my Oppo I can simply stop it. And I get a message to "resume" as the disc loads, if you don't acknowledge the resume prompt, it will load the disc menu. It remembers the last 6 or 8 discs. My previous JVC had the same ability.

It's not a highly used feature, likely the reason they don't waste space listing it as a feature.
