Hi Guys,

I am new here and i am from India. I hope this doesn't sound silly, i am looking at purchasing a branded workstation or a desktop machine with a video capture card. My requirement is for a educational NGO, which teaches basic video editing using adobe premier on Windows XP - SP2. Currently, we are using a Matrox card on a assembled machine which is a P4/1GB RAM/160GB HDD/Intel Motherboard. But the OS keeps crashing for some reason.

when i approached the Matrox card dealers they seem to be quoting really high for a basic video editing card. Can you suggest me which video capture card to purchase for basic video editing and compatible hardware for the same.

This is will be of great help.

Thanks
Avinash
