I hope someone can help me with this problem. I have a home movie I converted into DVD (something I've done many times). However, when playing this video on the computer, reading from the harddrive, the video screen splits vertically about half way through. On the left side is the video, compressed to half normal size, and on the right is just a colorful blur. Any idea why this happens?
Thanks

Give us more information.
What converter did you use?
Does the source video look okey on your computer?
Have you tried different video players? Like VLC, MPC, KmPlayer.

I used ConvertXToDVD, which I've used numerous times with no problems. I've only ever watched it on my computer, since I haven't burned it to disc, and I've tried all those players and more with the same issue. I've even tried converting the DVD to divx, but when playing the divx it either does the same thing or just stops playing at the point where it normally splits.
