I bought one in 2000/2001 and it still works, but I'd like to buy 1-2 more for when it finally breaks (any idea on when that would be?).

I really, really, really like this DVD player and I thinks its controls/features are way better than the ones my friends/family have.

And I've really gotten used to the remote control it came with...

I called Sanyo today and they said that they stopped making DVD players in 2005, don't know when they stopped making my model. And recommendations on where I could find a Sanyo DWM-370 or two *new*?

Try Ebay.

Try a Google/Yahoo/etc. search for someone selling it.

Looking for unused ones for a model last made 3 years ago is not realistic. Your player is VERY OLD and given the time when you bought it, it's certainly feature poor compared to today's players. You'll do well to get another year or two out of it is my best guess. It could last 3+ years (possible, but not likely) or become useless next week. I have some DVD players from this time frame and while they technically still "work", they both started having problems within 3 years of purchase and I have retired them to a back room in their original boxes. Both have various playback issues, which is why I don't use them regularly. I've honestly never heard of many players from this time frame still being useful after regular use, so you've definitely beaten the expectations. If you get 3 years out of a DVD player, you've done well. They're designed to be thrown away and replaced when they start going bad.
