I use Gom Player Or Bs Player some videos play just fine while others play slow or the video stop for a few seconds while the audio is fine what is wrong and what can I do to fix this. I am using a older computer with a video card that is 5 to 7 years old.

Start by filling in your computer specs in your profile so we can see what you are really working with.
Stopping and starting could be related to many things, including corrupt downloads, codec issues, fragmented HDD, low memory or simply an old machine with a clogged registry in need of a good wipe and rebuild.

The next question is : What type of video is causing problems ?
Use g-spot or mediainfo to determine the codecs being used, as well as bitrates etc. As a general rule, the codecs that compress the most require the faster processors in order to decompress and play back smoothly. Compression such as H.264 requires very fast CPUs for smooth playback, especially at high (HD) resolutions, but older CPUs can have issues at lower resolutions.
Knowing what the video is will give us some idea about whether the problem is CPU or elsewhere

I don't really care what you watch in the comfort of your own home, but we do try to keep it nice here, so if you are posting specs of less savory movies, at least blank out the title.
That said, you should be able to play that format back without too many problems, even on your aging beast. That would suggest your problem is related more to the system than the video.
When was the last time you de-fragmented your HDD ? Try using this software : http://www.kessels.com/JkDefrag/
The use CCleaner to give the system a good going over.
No guarantees, but it may well improve things.
