Premier Pro Video Import Problem

I have 2 computers, identical in hardware. WinXP, same Athlon, same 2GB RAM.

Each one has a unique copy of Adobe Production Studio CS2 with a unique serial code.

Both have worked fine for months, but now when I try to import a video file to one of the computers, Premiere never finishes indexing the file and the file never imports. Pictures and audio import fine.

On the other computer, the same video file imports fine.

So, one comp is in perpetual "indexing" and never even reaches the conforming stage.

Any ideas on this one?
