HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players CANNOT be hacked. There are no known codes. If you want to play DVD's from other regions, you will still need a region free DVD player.

Actually one very specific HD DVD player has hacked firmware available that put it into region free mode, but it does not do PAL<->NTSC conversion at all. It simply outputs the same format as the DVD it plays.

A few BluRay players have very expensive hardware modifications that allow them to play zone A & B BluRay discs and region 1 & 2 DVDs and that is all. This adds about $300 US to the cost of the players.

Note that these are exceptions. The BluRay players require expensive hardware mods and one HD DVD player has hacked firmware you can install on it. Like Krispy Kritter said, NONE of these players have codes to allow this.

Yes, that's the one. I was too lazy to look it up (I have the A35 - no such firmware for me).

I know I've said this before, but man, I just love that name "cracula"! It's my favorite screen name here.

You have exquisite taste. Not everyone can understand the beauty of a vampire addicted to crack because he drank the blood of a crack addict. laugh.gif
Also i think there is a hack for the a35 as well. I sent you a link.

CORRECTION. It's only for the a2(a20, xa2)series and below. I have the a30 also and have yet to find a hack.

Yes, that is exactly what we mean.

Cracula - Thank for the link. I also see your updated message that it's only for the a2 series. Minor correction - Like you have the A30 and not the A35 as I said earlier.
