Hi All
I am having a problem at the moment, I recently upgraded to nero 8 and since then whenever I try to backup a movie using dvd shrink and nero 8 it completes fine however they only play in media player on my pc but will not play in any standalone dvd player. I tried nero 8.3.2.1 then tried nero 8.1.8.0 same problem. But when I go back and install nero 7.8.5.0 the movies play fine on my standalones. I do nothing different each time but for some reason the latest nero's seem to be doing something different.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Only some versions on Nero work with shrink. Write the results from Shrink to either an ISO or a HDD folder, then burn with Nero if you must, or even better , Imgburn.

Its just strange I have used so many versions of nero over the years and always worked fine except with the latest version. It copies perfectly and when I put my copy in my pc it detects it as a movie and plays it but put it in any standalone player and it gets spat out every time

I have tried different movies and different media. It all worked fine until I went from nero 7 to nero 8

Which is why I gave up on Nero after version 5.5. From 6 onwards it seemed to be too hit and miss. On the bright side, they still seem to roll out patches pretty regularly.
