I figured that since it's been discussed in the past that the big media vendors are all in California, that this was worth a post (plus I've been here long enough that it should be obvious that this is a testimonial and not a $hill biggrin.gif ...)

I live in NY. I made an order on Meritline's site on Sunday (I tend to use SuperMediaStore most of the time but I needed DVD wallets in addition to blank discs and I like Meritline's house brand wallets) w/ the usual free ground shipping. I got the order today. It was a surprise, to say the least. I checked the tracking, and it turns out that they now ship out of Brockton, Massachusetts in addition to the one City of Industry, California. This is a pretty awesome development and may sway me to use them regularly since their prices are generally competitive w/ SMS. Not having to wait a week when there are no good B&M sales is wonderful.

I've got busted up spindles and damaged discs from Meritline the only 2 times I've bought from them. The last time 1 of 2 50 disc spindles was completely trashed and every disc was too damaged to burn. The spindle was sent already trashed, none of the broken pieces were in the box. I'll never buy from them again.

That sucks.

Did you call them and try to get replacements?

No, I didn't see they were all damaged until a month or so later.

I had the same issue with them. Some years ago I ordered some high quality cases from them and they turned out to be just that. Next two times I ordered their premium cases they arrived and were of much lower quality -- almost all of the connectors that hold the clips for the two disc dvd cases were broken or breaking and many of the plastic on the outside of the cases was put on crooked or not cut properly. Just a mess really!
