Where did you get your copy from?
Everywhere I look has a 5/20 release date.
Did you try DVDFAB?

LJB is right on the money. Since the official US release is May 20 and I'm not aware of any current official release anywhere else yet (in fact, some countries are actually getting it later than May 20), all we can say is that this is what happens when you buy bootlegs. In the very unlikely event that you somehow got a legit copy from the pressing plant earlier than its official release, you'll have to wait until it comes out officially and the sellers of ripping software update their products to deal with this one.

Although this thread will probably be locked for warez violation...NT2 is a Disney release so it probably has some new copy-protection that hasn't been cracked yet,you will have to wait for an update.

I don't know about Blockbuster but the worldwide release was today.

I got an error with ripit4me so I tried dvd hd decrypter and then used shrink and I got the ISO on the hd but when I went to use dvd decrypter to burn I kept getting an error. I DL the new dvd hd decrypter5.0.2.0 and tried again and I again got to ISO on the hd...errors againwith the disc so I had a few of another brand and tried it and bingo...it burned. the first ones I was trying were Memorex dvd-r and never had a problem with them before. the second ones I tried were TDK dvd-r. hmmmmm?

RipIt4Me was able to handle this one. It will complain about the disc being dirty or scratched. It will ask you if you want to re-rip the files. Answer no and continue with the cleanup.

According to info in the Tools section of this website, RipIt4Me hasn't been updated after 2007. My question is, how can an old tool be of any use to backup new DVDs that have the latest protection?

Because almost anything RipIt4Me can't handle won't play in most DVD players anyway...

To the original op;
National Treasure 2 can be successfully ripped using DVDFab Platinum ver. 4.0.1.2 or newer. I haven't tried DVDFab HD Decrypter, but I assume the same result.

To clarify my previous post;
I was able to rip and burn National Treasure 2 using DVDFab Platinum version 4.0.1.2. I assume versions released after 4.0.1.2 will work just as well. I ripped using the main movie setting with a Samsung SH-S202G and burned to a verbatim DVD-R with an LG GSA-H42N. The finished copy plays perfectly as far as I can tell.
